1:21 am
this happened about three hours ago when a large ship collided with one of the bridges supports we don't yet know if anyone has been injured or killed. the city's mayor says emergency crews are on the scene. again a large ship has collided with the francis scott key bridge in baltimore, maryland, causing it to collapse, will bring you more information as we get it here at cnn well, federal agents rated the miami and los angeles homes of musicians. sean diddy combs on monday senior law enforcement sources till cnn, the search is related to a sex trafficking investigation. and federal agents were authorized to search for documents, phones, computers, and other electronic like devices is comes after months of controversy for the rapper. he's been the subject of at least four lawsuits that include allegations of rape and sex trafficking, all of which he has denied or cnns color suarez has details of the rates
1:22 am
the search warrant activity at both of the homes belonging to sean diddy cones is related to an ongoing >> sex trafficking investigation, a law enforcement source. it tells us cnn agents with homeland security investigations searched or two homes belonging to cones including an 11,000 square foot mansion here in miami beach monday night, agents were spotted carrying a cardboard box and several bags from the second story of the house. that official with homeland security miami said that agents arrived at the property at around three in the afternoon and a neighbor here tells us cnn that 30 to 40 law enforcement personnel lined the street out here now across the country in los angeles, homeland security agents, there were spotted walking the grounds of cones home mobile command vehicles were visible in both locations it is likely that it will take some time to locate and process evidence
1:23 am
given the substantial size of both properties. now, cnn has reached out to representatives for combs, for comment. carlos suarez, cnn, miami beach in an earlier interview, cnn legal analysts, joy junction shared his thoughts on why federal offices raided the rapids home whenever you have a raid and an investigation, these things need to be really predicated upon the >> precursor for this to happen would be some probable cause. what is that probable cause? we don't know. but before 30 is being get into the home or property of anyone you have to establish some some firm basis to do that. and that is what at least we can conclude that they had reason to believe that their work crimes involving sex trafficking apparently and that these areas potentially can give more information with respect to the specifics. and i think they would be looking for

computer devices and other devices which would seem to indicate or give information as to whether there was any criminality very early in the process, but certainly we know that these have been carried out and we'll see what if any, information is gleaned to be suggestive of any criminality russian president vladimir putin says the horrific terror attack on a concert hall near >> moscow was carried out by radical islamists, but he's also without evidence blaming ukraine. mr. buddha and held a conference call with government officials on monday and during the discussion said the attack i can fit into a series by ukraine against russia >> you negate love rows. and the question >> immediately arises, who benefits from this, this atrocity may be only a link in a whole series of attempts by those who have been fighting our country since 2014 at the hands of the neo-nazis kyiv regime. >> cookie i'm just by see the goal as i

1:26 am
yesterday from the comments that he made after national well security council meeting in russia. is that while he's now acknowledging that radical islamist as he put it, where behind the attack he still does not use the term isis. he's still not saying isis is behind the attack, even though isis has by now even released body cam video of the attackers that they apparently managed to send back to isis while they were conducted during the attack. nevertheless, vladimir putin still bringing that link towards ukraine. i think one of the things that we just saw in that clip that we just played is quite interesting where he says that there are still questions as to why the attackers wanted to go to ukraine and he seems to believe that the ukrainians were the ones who could benefit from all of this because they're doing badly on the battlefield right now. he also actually ripped into the us a little bit to asking why the us was working so hard to to try and make sure that the world believes that isis is indeed behind the attack. so vladimir putin still pushing that narrative even of course, as many russians are still mourning those who were killed in the attack. here's

1:36 am
parc in the midst of an managing a mass casualty multi-agency incident here as you know approximately 130 this morning, a vessels traveling through the tap stucco so river outbound collided with a column causing it of the key bridge unfortunately, we understand that there was video is up to 20 individuals who may be the metabolical river right now as well as multiple vehicles so we have as indicated on mass casualty multi-agency incident underway, we have our dive team members. we have representatives from the anaerobic county fire department, baltimore county fire department mallon, a property environment, a us coast guard to marilyn transportation authority police. so this is a mass incident that we have underway
1:37 am
right now. >> kevin that that number has obviously going from seven to 20. do you believe that these people were all in vehicles where they're crews working on the bridge at 01:30 in the morning because we've been able to sort of see flashing lights on the bridge at the time of the collapse? >> yes. actually, all of that is being considered as we speak and information continues to develop. the further we get into this incident. as you can imagine, this happened at 01:30 a.m. with limited visibility so we are working aggressively considering the environmental temperatures as well as the water temperatures to try and rescue and perhaps recover individuals. we understand that they could have potentially been a vehicle attract a trailer or a vehicle as large as tractor trailer on the bridge at the time that it collapsed. so we anticipate
1:38 am
being here for some days to come >> and kevin looking at this footage, i mean, the bridge collapse on top of the ship as well. have we heard from the captain from that from the crew of the ship? >> well, we're working in collaboration with the us coast guard who are in the process of establishing contact with that vessel to assure and assess whether or not there were any injuries of individuals on that vessel and identifying provide the appropriate a treatment, care, and transportation. so those individuals as well as you can imagine, this is quite an incident here and an ongoing investigation. so information will be developing by the hour as we continue into this incident. >> kevin, if you can tell us a little bit more about this bridge, that it's obviously
1:39 am
well frequented even at 01:30 in the morning, as you say, you are now searching, for for 20 people and the porsche, tell us what is, is coming out of that port where that ship was hitting if you have any of those details, please >> yeah. so again, it's very very early and we will need to be in contact with the operators of that vessel. to assess what they manifest was what they may have been karen in 40 or exporting identifying where they are destination may have been an end. again, identify whether or not any body was actually injured on that vessel? so the key bridge as you indicated is very, very highly frequented on a daily basis by commuters throughout the baltimore metropolitan region so at that hour, we understand that there were some vehicles on the bridge at the
1:40 am
time of the collapse? so this is still lots of pieces that we still have to put together and it's going to take some time to accurately do that. so we don't want to speculate too much, but methodically work to identify exactly what happened and how we can mitigate this incident. >> kevin you mentioned that the kruse you're also working with the us coast guard? >> i >> presume that there are divers in the water as we speak are preparing to get in the water well, we have baltimore city of fire department dive or rescue team as well as assets and dive team members. rescue vessels from our jurisdictional partners from anna randall county fire department, baltimore county fire department and, many others. and the baltimore city fire department is simply leading this incident and the
1:41 am
management of it in collaboration without jurisdictional partners. >> and kevin or any family members or local folks arriving people who worked at the port people who were driving across the bridge. we know that it was around 01:30 a.m. that the ship he is or was shortly after that? uh 911 call was made regarding this emergencies. so maybe just describe to us to our audience the scene around you yes. right now, i'm actually standing at the water's edge. it's an actually see quite a number of emergency response at vessels in the water. you have their lights flashing and almost a perimeter around this land base here. and we have a data team members also the distance probably as far as 300 yards
1:42 am
actively looking for individuals as well as vehicles in the water. and again, considering that it's early in the morning, hours of villas visibility is quite challenging so they're doing the best they can at this moment. and as the light avails itself to us, we will engage even further in this rescue, potentially recovery incident given i think it would is just so striking looking at the video is how quickly this this bridge >> just collapses and it's not just a partial collapses. it appears to be the entire bridge. so you would have to assume the ship has hit that column with some force >> absolutely. that that certainly has to be considered and again, at this bridge has been in place for quite some time and has served many, mini computers in the baltimore metropolitan area. so we will
1:43 am
be again as the investigation ensues, there will be structural engineers involved to >> try and assess what the condition of the bridge is right now, which we know is unsafe conditions, but as well what the condition was prior to the actual collapse of it. so this is a very devastating incident. in which these individuals have encountered so our hearts go out to each and every one of them and we will be working valiantly throughout the early morning to address this >> kevin before i let you go, can you describe to us the temperature where you are and perhaps the water temperature for those divers now searching for those perhaps 20 people in the water yes it feels like she's
1:44 am
>> at least about 30 degrees where i am. it could be slightly lower, lower than that. and i'm sure what the water temperature is even cold. i can't tell you exactly what, but i'm sure it's much colder than where hi, i'm standing on the land. and that can pose a concern and risk for our divers. so again we're doing things methodically and safely to assure that while our divers and everyone operating here on the scene so and that we're able to make progress without causing adverse harm to anyone else >> ok. kevin, we know that you and the various agencies they're on the ground have a huge operation ahead of you searching for the perhaps 20 people in the water right now. we really thank you for your time for bringing us up to
